Familieweekend05

Hobix is working again, and I actually do have some spare time to write something again, so here is the first diary-keep-up-post! From 2 to 4 September we had the annual family weekend. As the family of my mother is spread throughout the country, this is usually the only occasion that I get to see all my uncles, aunts, cousins and their children again. This year we went to Serooskerke, a very small town in Zeeland, very close to the beach. It was really fun to see everyone again and to chat up with them and play some basketball with my cousins. On saturday, we made a little excursion to a local bee-farm and after that we went to the beach. Me and Peter turned Sebina into a beautiful mermaid and Steyn-Jelle got his own race car!

Sebina the mermaid Saturday evening we had a ‘gourmet’ (or whatever they call cooking your own food in a way too tiny pan on a way too underpowered heating-thingy). (And if you think I sound a bit negative, you’re wrong; I really enjoy a good gourmet!) p=. Feeding time! Saturday evening we played some games. Nicole and Cees appeared to be the perfect team for Pictionary, as they finished the game while the rest of the teams were barely off their starting point (if they were off at all), so in the next round, we had to split those two up. Sunday morning was spent with packing and cleaning and in the afternoon we went to the beach again, and at the end of the day we went home (some had already left a few hours earlier as they had to travel longer). There’s just one more thing to say about this weekend: a very big thank-you to my sister Mariëlla who organized it this year (and a big sorry-I-didn’t/couldn’t-help-you-as-much-as-I-would-have-liked-to). I’ll make it up next time, I promiss. Posts still waiting inside my head: Utopia 7 jaar, Lichtjes route and probably also some rant about my graduation problem project and some troubles with the house and landlord.
